SELECTION PROCESS:
Eligible candidates would be required to undergo an All India written test. Candidates will be shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personnel Interview based on the performance in written test.
Test Centers: The written test will be held in the following centers: Shimla, Dehradun, New Delhi and Patna. Candidates have to choose any two cities as preference -1 and preference-2 as Test Center and no change in any circumstance will be considered subsequently. However, SJVN reserves the right to add/delete any Center and allocate any Center to the candidates.
Written Test: The test will be in two parts, Part-I will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions of the relevant discipline and Part-II will consist of 30 multiple-choice questions on Executive Aptitude. The eligible candidates will be informed separately about the date and venue of the Written Test. Please visit the SJVN website for information on the same.
Group Discussion & Personal Interview: Based on the merit and requirement, the candidates qualifying the written test will be informed separately and be required to undergo Group Discussion and Personal Interview before the Company’s Central Selection Board. PLACEMENT:
The selected Trainees shall undergo one year training at various places. The final place of posting will be allocated after successful completion of training. Candidates can be placed anywhere in India or abroad, in any of the functions at Projects/ Stations or offices.
AGE LIMIT:

Civil:- | Full time Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institute of India. |
Mechanical:- | Full time Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute of India. |
Electrical:- | Full time Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized University / Institute of India. |
Finance:- | CA/ICWA/Two years full time MBA with specialization in Finance. |
HR:- | Graduate with two years full time MBA/Post Graduate Diploma with specialization in Personnel/HR. |
Safety:- | Full time Degree in Engineering (Civil /Mechanical /Electrical) with Full time Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized under Industrial Safety / Factory’s Act. |
Geology:- | Full time M.Sc./M. Tech. (Geology/Applied Geology/ Geophysics) with Engineering Geology as main subject or M.Sc./ M. Tech. in Engineering Geology. |
Architecture:- | Full Time Degree in Architecture from a recognized University / Institute of India. |
Company Secretarial:- | Graduate and qualified Company Secretary with membership of the Institute of the Company Secretary of India. Graduate Degree in Law or MBA will be preferred. |
